Rocking Through the Decades: Republic County High School Homecoming 2023 Preview

Republic County High School is gearing up for one of the most exciting and memorable events of the school year: Homecoming 2023! With the theme "Rock and Roll Through the Decades," students and staff are preparing to celebrate not only the spirit of the school but also the vibrant history of music that has shaped generations. Throughout the week, students and staff will be dressing up each day to celebrate the week's coming festivities. This year's activities promise to be a rockin' good time, complete with a pep rally, parade, and the crowning of our homecoming king and queen.

Pep Rally and Bonfire - Thursday Night at 7:00 PM

Homecoming week kicks off with a high-energy pep rally and bonfire on Thursday night at 7:00 PM. Students, parents, and the entire community are invited to attend and show their support for the Republic County Buffaloes. The bonfire is sure to light up the night as we get fired up for the big game against the Valley Heights Mustangs.

Assembly - Friday at 1:30 PM

On Friday afternoon, students will gather in the gymnasium for a special homecoming assembly starting at 1:30 PM. This annual assembly is a presentation of the candidates highlighting interests, school activities, and future plans. Join us to celebrate our candidates in the Republic County High School Gymnasium at this time.

Parade - Friday at 2:30 PM

The highlight of Friday afternoon will undoubtedly be the homecoming parade, beginning at 2:30 PM. Expect to see colorful floats, spirited marching bands, and a variety of creative displays celebrating the rock and roll theme. The parade route winds through the streets of our community, providing ample opportunity for friends, family, and supporters to line the sidewalks and cheer on the participants.

Crowning Ceremony - Friday at 6:30 PM

As the sun sets and anticipation builds, we'll gather at the football field at 6:30 PM for the crowning of our homecoming king and queen. These candidates, who represent the heart and soul of Republic County High School, will take center stage as they are honored for their contributions and dedication to our school community. And now, without further ado, let's meet our four king and queen candidates:
