Setting the Stage: RC marching Bands first Halftime Performance of the season

This year, the marching band has embarked on a new season filled with high hopes, thanks to our new director, Miss Kling. Guided by our talented drum majors, Kadence Henke, and Avery Stindt.

Our band delivered an impressive halftime performance at the most recent football game. Our football team demonstrated exceptional determination in their match against the Minneapolis football team last weekend.

The RCHS marching band showcased their musical prowess by playing "We Got the Beat," a 1982 hit originally by The Go-Go's and expertly arranged by Bob Cotter. This high-energy, medium-rock track was accompanied by a mesmerizing display from the band. Following this captivating performance, our band enthralled the audience with "Go Northwestern Go," our school's spirited fight song.

Remarkably, the band's quality was nothing short of breathtaking, especially considering they had only 10 rehearsals to prepare. Their flawless execution and dedication to perfecting every step truly paid off, leaving a lasting impression on the spectators. Many attendees praised the halftime show, with some even dubbing it the best they've seen from our band in years. Anticipation is running high for what the band has in store for us next.

This outstanding performance marks a strong start to the Buffs' Marching season, and we can only anticipate further growth and excellence. Looking ahead, the Marching Buffs have exciting plans, including a performance at the State Fair on Wednesday, where they will dazzle a large audience and a panel of judges. Additionally, on October 13, the band will be marching in Lindsborg as part of their Swedish Festival celebrations. This game was just the beginning, and the Marching Buffs are poised for an exceptional season ahead. Stay tuned for their remarkable journey!
