Zelma Siemsen: A Homecoming Candidate Leading with Passion and Purpose

As homecoming season approaches, the spotlight shines on Zelma Ryan Siemsen, a dynamic candidate whose extensive involvement in school activities truly sets her apart. A dedicated athlete and student leader, Zelma excels in basketball and softball, demonstrating her commitment to teamwork and sportsmanship. Beyond athletics, she enriches her school community as a member of the Business and Government (BAG) club, yearbook committee, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), and the Science Club.

Zelma’s nomination as a homecoming candidate holds special significance for her. “People actually think I’m cool and that I have friends,” she reflects, highlighting the connections she’s forged throughout her high school journey. These friendships and her memories from her first-hour composition class stand out as some of her most cherished experiences.

Looking toward the future, Zelma has ambitious plans to attend Fort Hays State University, where she aims to major in Sonography and Radiology Technology, with a minor in Psychology. Her career choice is driven by a passion for supporting others during critical moments, blending her interest in healthcare with a desire to make a meaningful difference in people's lives.

Zelma’s curiosity extends to history as well; she would love to spend a day with Alexander Hamilton. “I think that he is pretty cool, and I could learn more about the government,” she says, showcasing her interest in leadership and civic engagement.

If she were to write a book about her high school experience, Zelma would title it "A Ride Through the Good Days," capturing the essence of the joyful memories and growth she has experienced along the way.

As homecoming festivities unfold, Zelma Ryan Siemsen embodies the spirit of this cherished tradition. With her blend of athleticism, leadership, and genuine passion for her peers, she stands as a candidate who not only represents the values of her school but also inspires her fellow students to embrace their own unique journeys.
